Broken Phone Contacts

Lurker
I have a T-Mobile LG myTouch e739, and today I forgot I had left it on my friend's car when he drove off. It fell and broke. We recovered the phone, but the screen is shattered and the bezel is damaged. My mom has the same phone as me so I popped the SIM in her phone, and I still have my number and everything, but I apparently did not save my contacts to my SIM, instead saving them to the phone. I have quite a few contacts and I use a lot of them very regularly. My question is whether I can get my contacts onto a new phone? I doubt I'll be able to transfer them to the computer, as so far, the computer won't recognize the phone anymore. But is there a way the manufacturer can transfer my contacts?

Contacts can be stored in 3 places.

1. As Google contacts. These are stored on the phone and synced to your Google account (unless sync is turned off).
2. As Phone contacts. These are stored locally on the phone only and not synced.
3. As SIM contacts. Unlike 1+2 above, only names and one number per name can be stored. No addresses, email info, photos, etc.

So, if you have saved your contacts as #1 they are still in your Google account. Simply sync your account on the phone and they will be automatically downloaded and restored.

If they were saved as #2 you're probably outta luck. I always save contacts to my Google account so they are automatically backed up and cannot be lost.

Dial 611 and see if T-Mobile can help.
