I tried to flash the latest zippy kernel earlier, and I noticed that I couldn't boot into recovery. I pressed the bottom combination, and it stayed at the "phone will go into android recovery!!"
then it just stays like that. I tried flashing the lte2 recovery using the app from the sticky, in the hopes that it would let me to into that recovery and then flash philz touch. however, I was still unable to boot into recovery. my last resort would be to undo everything using the LG flash tool, and starting from scratch. I hope there could be another workaround though. has this happened to anyone else? I don't know what could have caused this. I didn't use the phone for a while over the summer, so that's the only thing I know of that could have done it. I don't know what else could have caused this...
