Browsers

I am running 5.9.905 and I've done the unistall and soft reset a number of times with no luck.
The factory reset is something I avoid like the plague.
The problem is an annoyance but definitely manageable.

Speaking of data clearance, and the wiping out of temporary data is there an app like CCleaner for Android based phones? Maybe that would help without the complete reset.

The Factory Data Reset i,pact is for another time. I agree with you that it is a "big deal" for un-root-ed users.

It looks like MyBackup only support data dump/restore if you are root-ed. There are other apps that can be used also if you are root-ed.

What I do that climates your problem ...

- I use Dolphin HD
- Whenever I leave Dolphin HD I use the Back | Back method that ends the application.

I obviously loose access to all the
pages that were loaded before leaving ... IMNHO that is a good thing. I was probably "done with them" anyway.

I was just wondering what you hits think is the best browser to use on the Droid bionic

Depending on what you do, I recommend both the Dolphin hd and opera browser!

With dolphin, I could not download mp3 songs from a dj site, with opera it was easy. It's a good idea to keep multiple browsers on hand just in case you run into an issue on the web your browser struggles with.

Posting my blogs is a breeze with opera, but more tedious with dolphin. Yet, with dolphin I can add photos into my blogs.

I personally don't like the other browsers on the market and I have tried a lot of them. :)
