Root Bugless Beast Rom Version 1.0 is Out!

Why thank you! That wallpaper was customized for me by Messenger13 and I spent a lot of time working on my Sweeter Home 2 theme so that it has everything I need within a tap.

Wow that's Sweeter Home?! I played around with SH some time ago, but couldn't come up with anything as awesome as that....very nice job!

That is one of the nicest setups I've seen. I can't believe that's SH

very noob question.. how do i run scripts? there are plenty of them on the [ROM] Bugless Beast v1.0 ESE81 page but I dont know how to.. =[

Oh and yes.. Theme works fine with me, only issue is that everytime I try to change the LED light through the Notification Settings on the Stock Message App, I get fc.

Well, got everything loaded up with 1Ghz and NexTheme. Have to say, I'm not sure I really understand the whole Pete's control over cpu etc. He says you can override his settings by using profiles, but I still can't get it to run at 1Ghz and benchmarks are terrible. Linpack is also subpar. I'll give it a couple more days, but so far it's lagging far worse than CM. Anyone's thoughts? :o

Edit: well I got it running a bit faster, but still not as fast as CM. Pretty consistent benchmarks around 170-180ms. MFlops topping out in the 8s. Pretty good I guess, but #s tended to be better on CM (perhaps because I was running at 1.2Ghz?)

I'm getting 8.3 MFlops in Linpack. Seems standard for 1GHz w/o JIT.

I'm just using SetCPU as I always have. My setting (1000/250) is the same as what Pete has it set to default, but I also have profiles enabled, which override the default settings in certain situations (charging, battery %, etc).

It's been nothing but speedy for me

I wiped and waxed and made it sparkly clean twice before it ran right.

First time, it was laggy and my phone was overheating pretty bad, I dont think I've ever had it that hot before. So I cleared and wiped again and now it runs soo...oh soo smooth.. -drools-.. try that. It worked for me.

Well, I thought I'd try a reboot and see what happens. Got stuck in a terrible loop. Pulled battery, still looping. It'll get to the unlock screen, preparing SD Card, and then start all over. Restoring now. Oh well, back to CM.

Soooo...what are all the goodies that were talked about?

I have not found any bell or whistle we have not had before. This is just one fast, smooth ROM that seems to run great right out of the box. I am quite happy having all the improvements "under the hood." No smoke and mirrors, just good work.

+1

I'm using SetCPU in the same way, and the ROM is lightning fast.

does this rom support apps2sd

No, and as of late last night, Pete was saying he isn't planning to because it's way too slow due to the Droid limitation on card speeds. I haven't checked yet this morning to see if he might have changed his thinking since then.

If anyone is having the issue with Handcent notification LED not working, this is how I fixed it. First, I applied the MMS/Email patcher Pete posted at AD. When the LED still wasn't working, I unistalled Handcent, reinstalled a fresh version from the Market, then used TiBu to restore data only. My LED notification for Handcent is working now.

I have to say im loving BBv1 so far, im just sad that i cant flash the 1ghz kernal. This is the first time i try to flash a kernal and it doesn't work. Im also kinda said i cant get the market to work on Nextheme, but im sure a fix will come out for that soon. I guess for now i will just run it with the stock kernal.

Also, I notice the ROM comes with an old version of spare parts. Is there a way I can get an apk for the newer one (the one that is in CM)?

I have it and have been using it. I saved it when I tried Fab's NexTheme ESE81 ROM, because I liked it better than the other SpareParts versions I'd used. I'm sure you could pull it from there. If not, PM me with your e-mail and I'll send it to you.

Sorry - maybe I'm a complete idiot and am having trouble following simple instructions - but can someone tell me what update is working with this to change the font and status bar notification icons? Thanks!
