Hey guys - I posted my own thread but with no response. I rooted my Droid and installed Jrummy remix based off cyanogen rom as my first rom. Well, I love the way it looks. I love showing someone my Droid and have them do a double take.
problem is, is people are saying these Roms and SETCPU kernels are making their phones faster and smoother ... but I am not seeing a difference.
Also my battery life is horrible. I am VERY interested in trying new roms, and at first I was worried about installing my apps - But well, I've already done it once, and atleast now I have some sort of knowledge on Titanium Backup to get my stuff back. My concern is I am not sure about how to go about the proper way of switching to try this one.
I created a nandroid backup a week ago...but where is it? Is it in a folder on my SD card? I know these may seem like extreme noob questions - But hey, Im a noob. I read these forums all day. Every thread, every post -- But Im still not sure on what to do.
I have SPrecovery and Clockwork recoveries ---- I backed everything up and I will create a new nandroid backup now. What about the kernel I have now, because its obviously not setup correctly.
If someone can chime in I'd appreciate it - Hell...email me @
bildo818@gmail.com Im at work as a bill collector, so I am on my droid ALL DAY! This phone is just way too interesting to give up on and I want to try, just paranoid of breaking something. But I think that the root access process would be the worst of the bricking, so I feel semi comfortable.
Any help or suggestions - Even jsut a quick process order would be great. I'll read into all the steps - But if someone could outline the process for me --- Ill find someway to make it up to you
