Root Bugless Beast V0.1 FRF57

No ROM includes the baseband, as far as I know.

I'll wait till a changelog before installing. Everything's going too well with stock Froyo.

Does this included the latest baseband and market fix?

What kernel is included by default?

I'm running the latest FRF57, and have a lot setup, it's good to see that people are doing well without wiping in similar situations.

Baseband, not sure, I have C_01.3E.03P (haven't updated since I never have 3G issues)

Kernel is the "OC'd" 800Mhz standard that :should: come with OTA 2.2

But, the 1.2Ghz kernel from P3droid seems to work fine on my phone.

Can I/we get some instructions for us noobs. Do I just lave it zipped and rename it update zip or what? Thanks in advance.

anyone else have maps not be able to be reinstalled from market and get it back on the phone? On the other one used root explorer to go to system/apps and on here its not there Im guessing because he removed it.

Some screenshots would be cool.

Would also be cool if someone could do a test run on.....GPS, BT, Wifi, BTVD, C2P, Camera/Vid, Flash, etc.

Don't have time to install right now. Probably will later.

What kernels work with this? I assume the same p3 droid ones? thanks

Pete said "any" but i'd go here for more info [ROM] Bugless Beast V0.1 FRF57 (FROYO) RC - Page 14 - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

Was hoping for at least 5,000 MFLOPS but you can't get everything, right?

LOL, that's what I'm lookin for!!! That really seems impossible, I never believed that claim. But who knows, maybe after all the bugs get ironed out and everything is optimized, we can hit something close to that.

Man, I have gotten almost no work done this week due to the Froyo Madness!

Luckily I've had both Mon and today off so I've had plenty of time to spend with my Droid. Unfortunately, I have some madness coming up in the next couple weeks with work. So not much more time with the phone :o

Does anybody know how to install google maps? My phone tried to do the update once coming to froyo, and now will not let me install it. I keep getting the unsuccessful install message. Thanks yall

same problem here. I flashed back til someone figures it out. :(

Aw, crap...i see in the changelog that setcpu isn't required. does that mean this has the older script that screws with setcpu's downclocking functionality? that's a deal breaker for me. I love my setcpu profiles...

No, Pete fixed the problem with SetCPU interference a long time ago. You CAN use SetCPU, but you don't HAVE to.

If you did a clean install, you'll need to download & install the flash apk.

I did a clean install, wiped 3 times and all. The app is there when I go to applications>all, but I can't uninstall it, everything is greyed out. Also my facebook, Voice, Maps and Goggle that were suppose to be removed were on my phone after the sync finished.

@ Skeet: You should be able to grab a Maps.apk off the forums & install via Astro. Or, if you use TiBu you should be able to do a Maps restore.

i downloaded a maps.apk and tried installing with root explorer and still wouldn't install. im guessing it might need pushed to the phone but ill let an expert chime in cause I dont know how to do that only remove

Can we just use SetCPU as is, or do we have to do something to not have the system override it? I think that what we had to do back with BB v1.1

No, that's what you had to do in the early version of BBV1.0. That problem had long been fixed by the time Pete released V1.1. You don't need to do anything to the "pete" script in order to run SetCPU unhindered.
