This phone has a locked boot loader. so flashing any files would lock this phone. unless you unlocked it

What did you find exactly? Maybe we could get a link to your findings, or the basis for them?

I hope you're referring to building a 2nd init recovery. Otherwise, good luck with that. The kernal source is nowhere to be found. I've "bricked" 3 Fierce's messing with stuff I wouldn't even consider system vital. Hijacking that init and running a "VM" on top of the already running Android instance is our safest bet. There's a guy that goes by HashCode i believe, you might want to try and get a hold of him about getting "SafeStrap" on our device. Essentially, from what I gather, it's like having Grub Bootloader where you can boot to any partition/ROM slot available. "Safest" does not mean safe though. If you need help writing or testing any scripts.sh to run on boot, let me know!

If you are referring to mtkDroid/spFlash tools

Here is everything I've got.

Here's a little bit on running boot scripts.

Hey hey glad to see dadcup has taken an interest in our little phone, someone else that knows how to get things done. We had takenpoke for a while but sadly the stuff we were working on went dead. I had partitions for everything but sadly Dropbox removed them for some reason. I could get you them again if need be. Anyway I just wanted to poke my head in and say thanks for what you've done on my previous device (ZTE Avid) and what your potentially going to do with this phone!

Hey if you want to do some crowd funding we can buy a licence for mediatek devices and give it to the unloved device devs.

So how do you turn it off? Rebooting doesent

there's a toggle switch in the "Developer Options" menu. I don't know how to remove it from the System menu though. But if you're going to be tweaking anything, you'll at the very least need dev options and usb debugging enabled. That way if you bork your phone, you might be able to communicate with it via ADB. Which, unfortunately, seems to be a useless fail-safe as far as the Fierce is concerned. But if we had an official signed update.zip, and were able to access stock recovery... Never mind, I'm rambling.

Yes i know that
I was thinking it would enable us the bridge gateway access
.
And does anyone know how to turn off developer mode?

This phone is not activated or rooted. Just for me to play with too. I've never even put the Sim in it. So other then that it can be factory reset and be cherry again. I'm just doing homework till I give it away.
I'm just trying to help out a little.
