Root Build recovery

there is no source for 7024n, and as far as I've heard 7024w source is incomplete. but hey, if we can build the kernel, maybe we can get some 2nd init ROMS up in here!

Even if its incomplete we should be able to patch with place holder source from a similar open source device like the fairphone. So you are proposing a 2nd int recovery that is not placed in the recovery partition? So it acts like a bootstrap to initialize the recovery?
 
yes, that way we dont have to touch the base OS. also, if we can hijack the init from a script located on the sdcard we can just pull the sdcard if it doesnt work and boot normally. basically i think we want Koush's BootStrap for the Droid ported and running from the sdcard for our devices. i've been looking into it, but that craps way over my head :P

Wow, that would be amazing to have, maybe we could get some attention from a dev like playfulgod or shabby penguin just to throw in some advice and guide us in the right directions. I know that me and tokenpoke were talking with playfulgod a while back but since then I have not talked to tokenpoke.
 
Hi guys,maybe I am annoying to remind the NCK Dongle stuff but I found this on the new update:OT-7024 - Cross Flash Feature to OT-7024n OR To OT-7024w & Back.
Added reset package in support.

For phones with damaged IMEI or other errors like permanent slot locked use this package.
This will reset simlock also (factory unlock).
Reset SIM Lock Package = Factory Unlock Package.
To reset this phones please download reset package from support.
Added in support multi language firmware for OT-7024 with advanced developer functions and TRACE Mobile logs enabled.

My NCK is borrowed to me and I am not sure if I can post their support package to avoid to be banned or terminated by them.I wanted to do a backup of my ROM,but it failed(I think for my non unusual FW-and thats the reason to no try to flash their FW to my Fierce/my only one phone/)

I wonder if booting recovery from sd would be likely? Just a thought
 
I just bought the Samsung Mega for the wife so ill have this phone for testing if anybody can get something going before i do i would be happy to tested it tell then ill see if i can get anything working to get a 2nd recovery working.:D

can you make a backup with mtk tool for me use this MTK Droid Root & Tools v2.5.2e just make a backup and send to me ok ;) you can use this too to learn https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nvbU6Km8-M how to make a backup in that video is the driver too ok just send to me please

I did the exact same thing a couple months ago when there was no recovery for this phone! The Mega is awesome make sure to flash MegaFire rom on it!
 
Is there still development going on, I just bought this phone for kicks and would like to help. Mind you, I am very noob at this, but nonetheless would still like to help.
