..? You posted before you tested? I'm all for testing and i don't mind having to redo my phone, but if you're going to post a test I would think you would at least make sure it boots first...

I haven't been able to download on my phone yet, when I try it just shows me the contents of the zip on drive and won't let me download... I am not familiar with drive so maybe I'm missing something but I will probably hold off on flashing until it boots...

Hope that didn't come off wrong and I truly do appreciate your efforts ... Thanks
if you have the drive app on your phone click the little diagnal arrow in the top right corner of the web page and open with drive app, then press back the the menu key, then recent, then click the little info (i) icon the click download. hope you can understand that, i couldnt figure any other way to download on phone, so i am downloading on pc, but just did a little test to see if i could help you

So where do we go from here? I know my way around a *nix command line, but I have no experience with android debugging.
Would running a logcat help?
Thank you all so much for your input!

Did you try twrp and the native cwm we have on the forums? I had luck installing the initial zv4 rooted rom using fast boot but it seems twrp has been the key to installing CM on our phones. I go back and forth between cwm and twrp using flashify and keeping a good cwm backup on my pc on on my sd when I'm testing usually just in case. My isp is taking forever tonight to download your zip but I plan on flashing this in twrp right after it finishes. Bootloop or not I'll let you know what happens 8-)

Do you have a recommended TWRP? I don't want to lose my recovery just in case...
I also got a recovery.img from the build. Should I try using that?

Yes, here is the link to the twrp recovery
http://androidforums.com/threads/re...-fixed-touchscreen-radio-still-borked.882847/ flash it with flashify from the market and hold down +power when you reboot when prompted and let go of the down +power buttons when you see the factory reset screen come up and go from there. As far as the recovery.Img from the ROM, I personally wouldn't flash it.

Yup! tried my own recovery - no go. :-)
Trying TWRP from that thread, but mediafire is messed up!

Thats what I got with CWM. I guess it's not just me! I had to restore my backup when I got that :-)
I'm gonna try TWRP if I can manage to download it!

Same here but I'm trying to flash an old rom but I keep getting sd card can't be mounted and I tried two different cards

alright im no rom developer, but i took a look in the rom file, amd it seems like some pretty important stuff is missing, all the roms i have ever downloaded have a folder inside system with a bunch of apks in it including system, this has nothing inside but a bun folder, like i said im no developer but it seems that stuff is missing from the rom itself. anyone with more knowledge than me wanna take a look. i appreciate everything the op has done but it seems incomplete.

Whoa! Just took a look myself! I definitely know that it was all compiled, but I'm not sure what happened when it was packaged. I'm investigating. Thanks!

Thanks @theminor19. Checked it and you're right. I have all the compiled packages in my "out" directory, but for some reason they weren't packaged correctly. Is there a way to fix this? Can I just package it manually?

I think there was something wrong with my kernel sources (although it built with them anyway?!).
I am now rebuilding the kernel / boot image from Quarx2k's msm8226 sources
