Building your own phone?

Everyones heard of building a custom PC but would it now be possible to build your own phone? Buying a snapdragon processor, ram, etc. To fit together

not at the moment I'm sure if more and more people requested it then it may happend but I don't really see it being as organized as the computers are. Computers all use the basic same technology where as phones are much different. Way to many ROMS out there that only support 1 device. You would have to be limited to what ever ROM works on the phone. Memory is another issue some ROMs require a lot more memory than others but each phone is not capable of holding the same amount.

If phones become more standard like computers then it would be a possibility. But for now no such luck you will just have to see what your Carrier offers and choose from there.

I would love it if that was possible. Or be able to order a phone built to your specs! Like if say Googorola (or whatever it is after the merger is done) would have a phone and you could choose your processor, camera, ram, etc and it was just sent to you with the current Vanilla Android...

At this point I would just be happy with stock android on ANY phone with top of the line specs.
