I just received by HTC Inc and just learning to use it. Can someone recommend a good calendar app other than the calendar I have in my google account? Thanks.

Hi and welcome to Android Forums.

You might want to look at the Applications section of the Forums as I'm sure they can provide you with all the available alternatives to the regular email app.

I needed a good calendar app. There wasn't any better, imo. I used the Sense calendar widget for the calendar. I tried others and hated them..

Thanks. I have been checking out the forum posts and there are many different opinions. I am taking a go slow approach on loading application on the phone until I have a little more experience using it. I did export my Outlook calendar to the Google calendar. Thanks again for the reply.

I like Pure Calendar Agenda Widget - Pure Calendar widget (agenda) - Android app on AppBrain - due to its ability to have a wide range of sizes on the screen and its ability to sync with Astrid (a task/to do manager).

+1

And now it has scrolling if you use ADW.Launcher or LauncherPro. It's so awesome. The developer is a great guy too. Very responsive to e-mails.

I also use his Pure Messenger app with two separate widgets. One for Twitter/Facebook and one for SMS/E-mail.

Now that he implemented scrolling, it blows all the other twitter feed widgets away.

iRT Calendar for now. I was a long time Palm user and am waiting for an Android version of Datebk. I will switch to that as soon as it is available.

I think I have tried them all, I havent found a better one then the stock HTC widget it just does exactly what I want and presents it in how I want to see it.

i like a regular htc calender with the exception of the bug when you delete a recurring event. It won't let you only delete a single one of the events
