My X8 is stuck in calendar sync! i started a sync manually and the Gmail sync page shows the sync is running. Also appears in notification bar. It's been on for over an hour. I've tried power down and even removed the battery but it's still showing. Anybody know how to get out of this?

You may want to try disabling data ( Main menu > settings > Wireless & Networks > Untick Data Traffic ) and then running a software update in case there is an actual software problem causing this.
I have 2 calendars on my google account, the main calendar and an http: linked sports fixture calendar. in the past these have both synched to my SE X8 without any problems. today the phone calendar only shows the sports fixtures, nothing from the main calendar. I've made no changes to settings in either phone or google account, anybody have any ideas?

You would do this via a PC Using the Update Service application bellow:
