Help Call forwarding

I use the call forwarding in caller setting to call forward the phone number to my home. However, the reception is unstable. Sometimes my clients/friends need to call me 3-5 times to get me.
I called my network provider and the technician said it is the problem of the phone.
Also, the feature can't remember my "always forward" phone number. I have to do it everytime, enable it, then disable it, pretty inconvenient.
Any tips to solve this problem?

If the problem's with the phone, it seems to me that they should do something about it or replace your phone, no?
