Has anyone ever experienced call distortion on their G2? I'm on sprint. And while i do like the phone, the distortion or screeching on calls is disturbing. This is my second one on day 6 out of a 14 day period.
 
I have Sprint as wrll and im having the exact same problem! Im about to try another phone soon im on my 6th day. I have no idea what ti think.
 
VZW here and I've never heard a screech or had anything but great call quality. I will say that the person at the other end has commented on my being hard to understand at times. I'vecome to recognize that I can't let the bottom of the phone stray very far from my cheek. Even a small amount of space there can cause this.
 
Faiked to mention that call volume is extremely low on my phone as well as general soeajer volume! Anyibe else with hese priblems??

I had the same issue with people not being able to hear me. Got a replacement phone so far I haven't had that problem since

Have you tried using a wired headset to be sure it's the phone and not the sprint network? I have a few friends on sprint 1 of which has the g2, all 3 occasionally have a similar problem when on a phone call. The other phones are an s4 and an s3

I can tell you for me it was fine on A bluetooth Headset just didn't work most of the time on the handset. I am on VZW so I think i had a faulty phone. Don't think it is a common issue with VZW G2
 
This is actually my second G2, and has the exact same problem with distortion that the first one did. After doing some research, i also found out that the note 3 is also experiencing similar issues on both verizon as well as sprint. Which makes me wonder if its a cdma/snapdragon 800 issue. But from what i've also read and have been told, samsung actually released a software patch to address those issues with the note 3. I hope that LG will do the same. I love the phone! Fast and awesome! If LG can fix the actual phone part of this, it will be perfect.
 
I'm on my 2nd sprint g2 and have same issue. Screeching, popping, crackling on my end only. Only during calls, speaker or earpiece doesn't matter. I have also read around a lot of Verizon users having same issues. And sprints note 3 had same issue and was resolved with an update. Some people return and get another with same issue. Some, get lucky and replacement resolves issue. I recommend posting issue on sprints site, as I did and a few others as well. Maybe if they see more and more they will get update out.
 
I originally had the same problem with mine but realized that I only had that issue when I was using Wi-Fi calling. I turned that off and pretty much every call has been crystal clear since.
 
Sprint version doesn't use WiFi calling, but for those with sprint and static issue, try to get your phone to roam and make a call. This is the only time I have crystal clear calls. So I know a software update will resolve this.
 
Soooooooooo roaming charges just to make a phone call that doesn't sound like digital nails on a chalk board mixed with bad dj spinning? No thanks
 
For anyone on the sprint variant, has the call quality screech distortion issues been addressed yet? Definitely missing the device.

Damar go to xda developer site, there is a fix. I was on my 3rd, lost hope, saw fix, went through steps, 2 minutes. And ahhhh phone is perfect now.

I'm on Sprint, and I have not had any call distortion issues at all. Perhaps it's a phone issue, not a network issue?
