Root call recording on the LG Motion

it works on ver e down as of ver f it was taken out. I think scrubs had slipstreamed it into his ver f collab rom with the apk from ver e
 
I have occassionally used the the app Androrec (in the play store it has an android icon with a red spot in the middle). Set it to "mode 1 mic". To get a better recording of the person talking, try using speakerphone.

Because of limitations of the phone, there is currently no known app that will record both the mic and speaker simultaneously on a normal call.
 
How can android not have this feature and old, really old Windows Mobile 6.1 did? Not trying to be demanding or anything, just curious.

I remember since Gingerbread, I never found a way to record calls since my old LG Esteem.

Is it hardware relates, or software?

I think software since it worked with froyo.
 
I use androrec and it works well. Play around with the settings. It records both sides of the conversation, but the other voice does come out less volume. Have yet to experience any problems with it myself.

My Motorola Razor had that feature.

There's a federal law that you must have a beep every 15 secs. and notify the other
Person you are recording, so maybe the FCC discourages this feature ?

I thought it varied by state. I work in the Telecom industry and someone told me that its legal in my state and that only one party needs to know that the call is being (so an unknown third party recording it would be illegal)
 
Yes, it does vary by state, except in the case of interstate calls.. in which case it would fall under whichever jurisdiction had the more restrictive law.
 
lol i wouldn't care if it's legal or not personally. if i want to record a call i will. nobody would know unless you tried to use it in court or something.

I agree. I only use it to remember things, and delete old recordings after a month (acr does this automatically)

I just wanted to report back after having tried this ACR app. In the end, it seems to only record audio from either the the mic or speaker, not both. So imho, it's not any better than any other solution for recording. The upside is that it will automatically delete recordings for you after they are X days old. The downside is that it's also crippleware.

For now I'm gonna be sticking to Androrec with setting "mode 1 mic". It's fully functional, and fully free.
 
Works w/LG Motion MS-770 Play with the settings until you get it to work. MIC setting did not work. I used the default (VOICE_CALL) with WAV recording format using three ring 3.5mm iPhone type headphones for privacy. Receiving voice is weaker than your own but clear and fully understandable. I tried many but this is the only one that works with the LG Motion MS-770 from Metro PCS. Louder volume of incoming voice would have given this a five star. If you own this phone, try it. Nothing else worked for me. I will buy the license to support developers and keep this app available. (Don't buy any app unless the FREE version works).
