I also have a team mate that constantly writes dates like this: July 4'thand constantly uses a semi-colon instead of a colon (no, not the internal organ, silly!) :banghead:.
I'm speechless. Me. Speechless.Seems legit...

The correct plural form of galaxy is galaxies. So what about if it's a proper noun or a trademark, as in Samsung Galaxy. Is that Samsung Galaxys or Samsung Galaxies?
Seems legit...

I would personally write it as Samsung Galaxy's.
I'm not a grammar nazi, but it does annoy me anytime someone uses the word irregardless. Just...no.
Oh, don't forget those who do not capitalize at all, or do not use spaces after punctuation. Two spaces after the end of sentences people.
Are we still using typewriters? pretty odd peeve in the age of the computer... It's really no longer necessary.
I, personally, prefer double spaces after the end of a sentence. Open Office has no issue with that.
This web site just removed on of the two spaces I put after my periods to end a sentence. Does anyone know how to force the second space to appear?![]()

That used to bother me, many years ago. My research dug up this explanation:Oh, don't forget those who do not capitalize at all, or do not use spaces after punctuation. Two spaces after the end of sentences people.

Well SueDNim, if indeed that is your real name, I think that the whole explanation about proportional and monospaced fonts and typewriters is an opinion.
I owned electric typewriters with proportional fonts.
Two spaces still looks better to me.
In fact, we were taught in cursive handwriting class to double the space after a period, compared to what we used for a comma.
That was a continuation of what I learned when I could only print block letters.

I always double after a period too!!! That's the way it sposed to be...but my kids tellme I'm wrong and their teachers don't like it that way....I blame mediocracy and laziness....no really I do!!!
I also always indent 5 spaces for a new paragraph...which apparently is also becoming faux pas...![]()

laziness, like using "sposed" rather than "supposed" ?
by the way, it's "mediocrity"

This has probably been pointed out somewhere in the 30 odd pages but the title of this thread is a grammar foul... Nazi has a posessive apostrophe s on the end.... Should be "Calling all gramma Nazis"
Burnnn on you OP! Hah
