Varun's ScratchPad: [How to] Change the DNS server of 3G connection on Android phones

I tried it via term emulator and verified that the new settings took...lost 3g.

I have seen one guy claim it to improve the connection on cdma but only that one.

any one out there willing to play with this...and more importantly

anyone more experienced with this have a way to make it permanent (assuming it works)

the above method is temp...and is lost at reboot or data connection reset.

one could set up a gscript toggle to set this...as it is lost at reboot ....it is not permanent

also:
at system/etc/dhcpcd/dhcpcd-hooks/20-dns.cofig there appears to be a dns server configuration file... not sure if that could be edited to just do this normally. but that is beyond my pay grade

I'll play around with it this weekend. If it works at all, I'm sure we can make it run at startup pretty easily (I might eat those words later).
