Root Calls going straight to voicemail with all Sense-based Roms

Hello all

I've been running slimbean cm10.1 rom for a while and recently flashed the Viper rom 3.1.6 and having this issue where all my incoming calls would go straight to voicemail without ringing. I've tried different sense roms without any resolution. Going back to a CM10.1 rom fixes the problem.

Can someone please help me figure out what is going on here? I am S-Off, TWRP 2.4.1.0, latest firmware without the TP drivers.

I moved the post up here since it is root related.

Do you happen to have any old nands from before you had the trouble?

We'll see what the guys come up with. Puzzling!

Thanks. I've never had this issue before. Maybe going into diagnostics mode and looking at the settings would help, but I am not sure what I should be looking into. I've updated both PRL and profile and still can't get the calls.

While on a sense rom, dial *38 then press talk. you should hear a few beeps or something, then end the call. See if that works. :)

Maybe somehow the sense roms are activating call forwarding somehow. The above is supposed to stop conditional call forwarding.

Tried it, still not working. I also tried the hard reset using ##786# and followed other guides over at XDA for the issue and I am having no luck. I don't understand what I did all of a sudden that would take all calls straight to voicemail with sense roms, but not with CM10.1 roms.

Thanks all for the suggestions.

Very strange.

I would download the stock rom and flash it. Then call customer service and see if they can reprovision your phone. Something isn't jiving in there.

I called the sprint customer service and after 30 mins of trying different things, she was unable to fix the issue. I'll try to downgrade firmware but I may just have to stick to cm10.1 ROMs at this point. Thanks for all the help guys

i'm a huge fan of LOTK roms. try pacman or carbon both are great and have more tweaks then cm10.1

If I were to take it to sprint do I need to relock and unroot?

it depends. they should be able to take a look at your phone. they did change their policy a while ago. some have said that their diagnostic program will not work if the phone is rooted.

but if you want, read this:http://www.acsyndicate.net/sprints-rooting-policy-put-to-the-test/

i guess it does not hurt to do it though.

edit: here is the unroot guide if you need it:http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-lte-all-things-root/670476-unrooting-guide-evo-4g-lte.html

Just an update, I used Viperboy's 3.16 RUU tool to get back to stock locked and S-ON, took my phone to sprint store and they were able to fix the issue. They said it had something to do with the network tower and they saw that issue with multiple phone this week.

Thanks all for the help and I guess I am glad it wasn't something I did.

Cool beans, glad it's back up and working. :)

Now when are you going to re-root!! :p:D

I must first admit that I should've left the phone rooted since the sprint store tech didn't check for it, but I couldn't take that risk.

I was able to unlock my phone using htcdev but I am having trouble with S-Off. I achieved S-off before using windows 7 64bit without any problems, but I can't seem to replicate that. It seems that babyracun no longer works for windows as the commands are for linux only now.

Ill have to look into making ubuntu live CD but I was hoping someone can help me with this using windows. It used to be possible I don't know why they changed it

EDIT: I just read the explanation on unlimited.io. Its a bummer for sure. Does anyone have the old instructions on how to achieve S-OFF using windows? I have all the drivers saved from before, just need the commands.
