Help Camera app locking up during preview.

Hi,

My camera app locks up from time to time. I'll take a picture, then the camera app locks up during the preview. Sometimes waiting several minutes will allow me to use the camera app, but most of the time I have to power off the phone.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Yes, my camera has locked up several times but I do use it lot. There appears to be a couple issues with camera software. In bright direct sunlight it puts a green cast over everything also. Hopefully an OTA will address the issues.

I just started experiencing this issue. I'll take a pic and it locks up. Then I have to force close and the app don't always open right away. Starting to get annoyed with this phone.
 
Ive have Experienced both the Lock up of my screen right after i take a picture every now and then, AND the green Hue in bright sunlight
 
Last night as I was taking pictures of fireworks at a friend's house, my camera locked up right after taking a picture. It came out like crap, so I tried deleting it, and that's when it froze. The only way out was the home button. Finally, I turned it off, turned it back on, and waited a couple seconds, then went back into the camera app. A couple pictures later, it froze again! Over the course of the night (approximately 30 minutes of camera time) this issue happened to me 4 times. FOUR! That's just ridiculous. I love this phone, I really do. But I would think I dual-core CPU and a full GB of RAM would help this thing NOT freeze up. :/
 
Same here. It freezes right after taking a picture while showing the preview. Yesterday I disabled the preview under Settings, I also cleared the data for the camera app, and finally restarted the phone. Seems to make a difference, but too early to tell. You may try that and report whether that seems to help.
 
It happened to me for the first time today. I went into the built in task manager closed the program, then it opened and worked fine.
 
also did you update to the newest ota? it seems the only people with this issue have update to the new ota....which i shouldnt have lol

drag down the Notifications bar on top of the screen, tap Quick Settings on the bottom, tap on Total Memory on the bottom of the list. then you can view what apps they will allow you to close, and close them with the X on the right.

This only allows you to close apps that it wants you to. Other task managers allow you to view everything running and close things that the phone needs to run
 
Haven't had any lockups yet but I am getting the green hue. Took a bunch of pics at the beach over the weekend and most are green. Only ones that aren't I took using apps like Pudding Cam using different styles
