Camera Flash issue

I think my flash isn't working on my S4, does anyone have any of the torch apps installed from the market place, are you able to run this app and is the LED flash coming on when you use this app?

I have had 2 replacement handsets from my insurer as the first one had a lens fault whereby a couple of blue and purple lines were displayed on the screen and were appearing on photos.

This handset the flash isn't coming on when taking photos, but the times I've tested it's been daylight.

I've just downloaded some torch apps and none of them are turning on the flash. Before contacting the insurer for another handset I was wondering if anyone would be kind enough to test the apps?

I searched "torch" on the Play store and installed the first 3 apps.

Any help is appreciated.

There should be a setting that forces the camera to always fire the flash. If you set that, take a picture and there's no flash, then I'd suggest you need yet another handset :(

Spoke to them on the phone and they've suggested a factory reset, which I've completed tonight with no fix. Another day without my handset :(

You are really having a run of bad luck! 2 faulty handsets in a row. Make sure they are not supplying with refurbished handset instead of brand new. It should be labelled as such.

My wife and I both have an S4 with the same problem, the flash goes off then the camera. All it does is waste the battery and give us dark pictures. We've had our phones since May and the flash has never worked properly. I wish I knew what to do short of sending both phones back.
