Root Camera issues in CM7?

Was just wondering if there were anyone else having issues with the camera not connecting? I wanted to ask before I reported a bug and the later found something.

did you read the wiki about what works...camera should be working, but camcorder isnt...hope this help you...

hmmm, i never had that issue...what build do you have, or did you just flash a rom? also you might want to flash the new build if you havnt done it by now.

Yes I have the new build of CM7. MMS BABAY!!!!! never had this issue before though. hmmm...still tinkering with CM7. Haven't messed with CM6 since the update MMS applied fix.

i just tried mines and no connect error, might want to reflash it might been a bad flash. but wipe everything including boot,system,data,cache.

ok. Will try that...but before I do...lemme get this straight.

STEPS TO TAKE

1. wipe data/factory reset
2. wipe cache partition
3. mounts and storage
a. format boot
b. format system
c. format data
d. format cache
4. advanced
a. wipe dalvik cache
5. flash CM6/7
6. flash gapps
7. advanced
a. fix permissions
8. reboot system

Sound about right? That's what I have been doing for EVERY flash.

before you run fix permission let the phone boot for the first time, than just simply reboot into recovery and run fix permission and you should be good. And also i always wipe everything when flashing any roms and had no problems what others have, i like to start fresh...:D

I think it was because I tried to download a barcode scanner. I used the camera fine then downloaded the scanner then app force closed, the I got the message for cam not connecting. uninstalled scanner and rebooted phone, now cam works again. Whatever. What would you recommend i use for scanning qr codes?

sorry to say no scanner works with cm7....

So the scanner will work in CM6?
I know. I'm lazy. Since the whole "edit your apn" thing...I have flashed like 8 times each...lol (cm6&7) so I really don't wanna flash again unless I have to :P
