Help camera lens scratched

has anyone else had their camera lens scratched on their HTC device?
i'm using a desire and the lens has become somewhat scratched / blurred.

think i can get it replaced under warranty?

How have you managed that? The lens is behind the Battery door. You may have scratched the Plastic cover on the battery door itself instead. Have a look here:

ok, poor wording on my part.
the PLASTIC COVER (on the back phone cover) over the lens has been scratched.

I doubt they'll replace it on warranty but worth a try. However, did you read the link I posted?

yes, thanks for that link.
it sure is a big difference but i'm a bit bummed that we have to do anything to get better quality. its like apple saying u need a bumper to make calls on their shitty iphone.

Yeah it was a bad decision by htc.

they may replace it, but they want you to send in your phone first, i refused as it's not worth it to me, buy some displex instead and use it to remove scratches

If you are a bit cash strapped or want to save money, you can always use toothpaste.
It does work quite well & its easier to find too.

i tried toothpaste, just made my phone smell minty :/

That is the downside more so if you are looking for a mint or chewing gum in the dark, you may end up with teeth marks in your phone lol.

Seriously though it does work but it will also take longer to do, i used to have a bottle of perspex polish & it is quicker but doesn't smell as nice.
