Root Camera question for those who modded/CM9?

Does your camera app. support changing the JPEG compression (sometimes referred to as quality = superfine, fine, normal)?

The stock sense camera, as it comes from Sprint, is nice and I like all the features except for missing the ability to adjust compression.

The original EVO, my previous phone, let me adjust this setting. I prefer to use "normal" instead of "superfine," because most of the shots I take are indistinguishable between compression settings, except you save a lot of disk space using the "normal" compression so it's wasteful to use "superfine," which our cameras currently default to without the ability to change.

So if I install Cyanogenmod or other mods to the phones, will their camera apps provide this adjustment to JPEG compression/quality? Will it retain all the other nice features in the stock camera app such as switching between camera/video, taking still during video recording, multi-shot, etc.?

I'd be willing to root/mod if this feature is available without losing other camera features. Just to clarify, I'm talking about the missing ability to adjust JPEG compression/quality, which is a separate issue from adjusting the pixel resolution. Or maybe the answer is to use an after-market camera app, but I assume those lack other features that our cameras now provide, which I don't want to give up.
