Root Can a dev take a look

nah im apex all the way, i may flash liberty 1.5 to see if it is in fact stable this time, but yeah im on apex, and i hope jonathanmsims can get it to work :)
 
its so fast because the zip file is only 83 pictures. i just put one together and the whole video should be 180 pictures.

does anyone know how to do this in liberty? im having trouble getting any custom boot logo to work. ( not just mine )

if i get it working ill put the link to my zip. its a little slower/longer

Also, if you're on Liberty then in the toolbox it has an option to install /sdcard/bootanimation.zip so any file you have on your sd card would be moved there automagically with that.

You can modify the frames per second in the desc.txt file to slow down the animation.......that's what I did to slow it down.

what did you have it set as? in order for it to show up right?

is what im getting, what do you have yours at?
 
I can't, you can maybe. I don't know of a text editor that wont corrupt it. I may try it though but it's never worked for me in the past when I tried creating my own.
 
and it didnt work again, so i dunno how to do this now, i did it with wordpad and notpad, well i gotta go to bed work in the am, if someone can figure this out please let me know ^_^
 
I would but I can't get 7zip, or notepad. I do however have text editor!!! This is where my mac lacks. Plus I don't really mind it the way it is. Thanks though!

I modified yours so you can check it out if you'd like. It's quite a bit slower, check it out ;)

It can be slowed down more or sped up if it's too slow now :D.

I think by moving all the files from part1 to part0 and leaving only the last frame in part1 it will hang on that image... don't quote me, but thats what I thought when I re-designed Red Fury... also, I'm not gonna mess with it till the original video is changed to black background, I loaded the one from above and changed the frames/sec to 10 instead of 30 and it is fine, except its a big gray block on the screen... if it was black it would fade right with the rest of the "black" area on the top and bottom left over during the boot.
 
well jon if anyone can do it, you can! i really hope you can get it done soon ^_^ cause my iphone buddy and i are going out tomorrow to wild mags with a bunch of friends lol

this video hangs at the right amount of time! :) the only difference is, its kinda choppy, but luckily its not that big of a deal, whatever jon cooks up i will check it out also ^_^ like a kid in a candy store

I think it looks choppy because there are only 83 pngs in part0, mine has 140 pngs, and seems smoother. It could be also that it might need to be sped up a little bit.

I would, but people seem to like the way yours is set up. Mine only loops through the android being assembled and then blowing up the apple. It goes through this loop about 2.5 times before the phone boots up.

I'm not sure people want that, it seems like they want the android to be assembled and blow up the apple then go to the Android with the "Android" text next to him.

i think i am the only one who wants that lol, i just have never been a fan of video looping all the time, i just like for the video to play and be done with the Android next to him, but thats just me.

if you could re-do your video in 2 shots, the one i like, and yours, i would def donate to you :)

Well, I combined part of Aggie's boot animation with mine; I hope he doesn't mind, if he does, I can take the downloand link down no problem.

It splits the time about half and half with the first and second animation....the second part is a little blurry, but it's ok I think.

You will have to rename the file to "bootanimation" by removing the "1"; I had to do it like this otherwise it would conflict with the other bootanimation file I uploaded to my mediafire account.

No need to donate, it helped me learn how to mess with the boot animation stuff. I hadn't messed with it at all until yesterday when I saw your post ;)

That link you posted to the original animation/gif didn't have a black background. I'm not very familiar with photoshop so it would be difficult for me to change the background color to black.
 
heck no I don't care. I just found that one on youtube. I just clicked the link that VoidedSaint posted originally and then on the upper right corner of the screen it said "click here for bootanimation" so I did and that's where I got it from. Just sharing my findings :p
