Help Can anyone help me please?

Hi everyone, I have my GS4 and I have a question about my texting problem, My friends are using Iphones and when they leave Imessage on I cant recieve their text, but when I text them they can recieve it. Is anyone else having this same error? Does anyone know how to fix it? Thanks

I don't have an answer for you but you might try something like Handcent and see if it works.

I use Handcent, and I receive from and send to people with iPhones - both text messages and media messages.

Are you coming from an Iphone? If so you might have to clear your number out of your Apple account. Might still be associating your number with Apple.

Hello and welcome to Android Forums, AC.

As mentioned by Veritas, it can be an association issue with your carrier. Your carrier may not have completely associated your data with your new Android phone yet. Perhaps the calls and other data are fine, but sms and mms may be out of the loop.

I'd call the carrier and describe the issue. It should have happened instantly as soon as you activated your S4.

If I remember right iMessage is an Apple instant messaging program to use between Apple products. If they text you through the normal texting program, you should have no problem receiving their texts.

No, Im not coming from an Iphone Ive switched my number though. Maybe its the person previous that hsd my number that was using an Iphone I will contact my carrier. Thanks

imessage should only activate once it recognizes you are messaging another apple phone/tablet/ipod. The message show in blue rather than green.

The thing is that when my friends have imessage on and when they text me its blue and it says deliver with a blue text

Have you asked them to turn off iMessage and try sending you a text?
