can i play an itunes video on my evo?

Okay, I just purchased the first episode of the Walking Dead off of itunes and am downloading it to my old powerbook. I would love to be able to transfer the video to my Evo and then play it over my hdmi cable onto my tv.

Is this possible? How easy is it to do? I'm hoping that stock media player can handle it.

Depends what format the video is in, and if it has DRM. If it was purchased from itunes, it likely has DRM.

Dowload MediaInfo on your pc, open the file in that, switch to tree view, then copy the results here.

If it's DRM'd, then you'll have to try some workarounds.

Clearly, Apple wants you to have an iToy to watch your iTunes vids.

I have pulled a few from my gf's iphone with no issues. they were mp4 like the hangover and some twilight crap. haven't tried much else though


edit...she just informed me that hangover was not dloaded...that it was one of those digital copies from when she bought the movie
