Can Incredible do 4G Service?

If the Evo can latch on to Sprints 4G service, what exactly is holding back the incredible from connecting to 4G service when The Big Red releases their 4G service. Can a 4G Signal be obtained through root.

Feel free to discuss all aspects of Incredible functioning as a 4G if worth discussing.
 
Purchase 4G radio. Crack phone open. Re-solder and re-route circuits on motherboard so you can install 4G radio. Be careful not to disable any function of the phone. Turn on phone. Phone now has 4G radio. Write custom software that can use this radio. Flash phone with new software.
 
Easy as pie, you could rip the 4G circuitry out of an evo. hmmm, then you would run into the problem of connecting the phone to the sprint network, and the verizon network... at the same time.

While your at it, buy an old 2G phone. Take out the radio, solder it into the incredible.

BAM! 5G (2G+3G)
 
You could get a 3G GSM radio, put it on the phone and hook the phone up to two provider's networks at the same time and get get 6G.

wireless n eats 4g for breakfast and uses less battery.

statement above only applicable where wireless n is available.

This is wrong. Technically, 4G is speeds of 100Mbps as set forth by the International Telecommunications Union. That means that even LTE is not 4G. LTE is really 3GPP LTE which stands for 3rd generation partnership project long term evolution.

To customers, it makes sense to call LTE 4G because it is much faster than 3G

However, this is boring so lets go back to talking about whose modded phone has more g in it. :)

Ok, so I get that I can take two (2G) or one (1G) and one (3G) and get (4G) in either case. But what if, after making my 4G phone, let's say I want to save battery power. Can I desolder the (1G) radio or the (2G) radio, and then re-solder as needed?
