Can LauncherPro get any more awesome?

How are you guys changing the look of the dock? I like that 3D glass effect but don't have it on the latest build.

after you dl and install, when you hit "home" you should get choice screen, sense, launcher pro, adw , etc.
select LP. your home launcher is now LP.
from home screen hit "menu" , select prefs, look at note bar area should see launcher pro.
select your prefs.
 
I have not tried ADW yet, but I do love me some LP! It's exactly what I want and all I need. The dev is excellent as well cheers to LP!

I would look at some other apps, Ive read many threads re LP and the only times it was slow or laggy , turned out to be other apps involved, basically too many active apps or a conflict.
Not sure if true( as i dont save messages) , but one said same about LP , but then came back and said it was his 500+ messages/threads causing slowdown.
 
I have a 4,000 message thread that isn't causing any slow down.

Well, I mean to the overall phone. I don't even think the Messages app can open it haha. Thank goodness for Handcent.
 
Am I the only one who never got the optical joystick to work with Launcher Pro for scrolling from screen to screen?

Darn.. that was one of the big reasons I decided to stick with Sense.. because I always use the optical joystick to move from screen to screen. I checked in settings etc when I had Launcher Pro and there was nothing to allow me to enable it. Perhaps I'll have to reinstall and try again some day when I get the time. For now, I need my phone to be fully functional.
 
My joystick works with LP, but damn, it is so much faster to use the screen and you finger swipe to go screen to screen or dock to dock.
 
Other than setting LP as the default if there anything else you need to do with sense? Or does sense automatically stop running when I am in LP? Just want to make sure I dont have both running.
 
I had been using Launcher Pro for about 2 weeks with no problems until just now. I powered off the phone and when I powered back on and swiped down to unlock, I got a Force Close for Launcher Pro and could not do anything else. I tried turning the phone off, taking the battery out, and could not do anything so I had to hard reset my phone :( . It would not let me go into settings to reset my defaults or to uninstall Launcher Pro, I was stuck in a infinite force close loop. So I will stay away from Launcher Pro, luckily I am receiving a replacement tomorrow for the screen sensitivity problem when the phone is not grounded so its not a big deal since I'll have to redo everything tomorrow, but if I wasnt getting a replacement tomorrow I would be pissed. Has anyone else every had this problem with Launcher Pro??

You could have deleted it from ADB Shell...

Nope. LP will run Sense won't.

LP for me and my app bag is faster than Sense, smoother, and cleaner. Sense is great, I just think LP is much better.

SMS Unread Count widget will do this. It's free in Market, however, it will only sync with dialer (missed calls), gmail (unread gmails), and messaging (sms texts).
