Hi All,

For some reason I can no longer download or update from Google Play. Downloads appear to start then nothing happens.

Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks..Tom

try going into apps in the settings menu, find the play store click on it and then click clear cache and clear data, reboot the phone and see if that fixes it

I had to uninstall updates as well as clear data to fix this on my phone.

Don't know how to uninstall updates....used Titanium Backup to restore to earlier version of Play Store and that didn't help.

Go to settings>apps> all> scroll down to Play store> press uninstall updates and clear data

Go to settings>apps> all> scroll down to Play store> press uninstall updates and clear data
Thanks Sammy...but I don't see a choice to "uninstall updates". All I see is
Clear Data - Clear Cache - Clear Defaults - Force Stop - Disable.

O.o well, clear data, reboot, open app, try to download app, wait 5 minutes reboot.
Thanks again Sammy...will try later --have to run...I'll let you know the outcome

OK waited 5 minutes after unsuccessful updating Lookout and on restart the update was installed.
Then I tried to update another app (barcode scanner) and it's back to not updating. Will I have to wait 5 minutes for every update and reboot every time?

Strange behavior

So it's working?

I have the same exact issue..I've tried everything, removing all updates/apps/ANYTHING even reverting back to stock, to no avail..
I used the bloat removal script, and only have about 300mb used in apps, but can't install CERTAIN apps or updates...Some work others say full..I tried to install a 258kb app says to full, but yet right after that firefox installs no issue when it's like 20mb...wtf?
There's something not right, and I can't figure out what this issue is..

Could be a playstore issue, I know they been cleaning stuff out and moving things around. New guy running the show there.

I'm not sure if it's the same problem but something similar happened to be one time with my tablet where I couldn't install updates from the Play Store. I fixed the problem by deleting a file named "smdl2tmp1" in the mnt/secure/asec folder. If that file is in there, delete it and see if that fixes the problem.

No files is that directory, and it can't be the playstore cause I still have the same issue and it would've been fixed by now if it was on googles side of things.. I can't figure out this bug for the life of me...I can't be the only one with this issue...

Ok well I gave up, and factory flashed/reset, and now it updates just fine..
Now to get my internal and external memory swapped without my internal files disappearing XD
