Can stock hero still be rooted?

My gf want's to root her hero. She just installed the latest update from sprint. Do we still have an exploit to root this thing? If so, will the guide at the top of this forum still work? I have to guide her through it over the phone so knowing in advance would help quite a bit.

What software build are you on, .6 or .7

man i am so lost. I have no idea how to get android SDK working. Also no idea how to get into the sdk tools via the command prompt. could use some the idiots guide...
 
I downloaded Z4root app off od the market today and rooted my .7. It's super easy, just push the root button!
