Root Can you use quick boot to install wireless N

It's not at all clear what you are asking. You obviously need write access to /system to replace the wireless kernel module, and you obviously need adb in recovery to get that, so...

OK....The way I was able to root my phone was the SD Card pull, in and out over and over again. I tried the loop file, but it didn't work.

What I am asking is, If I use quick boot to get into recovery, can I access the kernal module that way, or am I supposed to do the SD Card Pull until I access recovery that way?

Or am I just crazy even thinking this?

you can install wireless N using custom recovery

1. download http://hydrakernel.cz.cc/kernels/hydra_uv_n_v02_signed.zip
2. place hydra_uv_n_v02_signed.zip on root of sdcard
3. boot into recovery (ClockWorkMod)
4. select "install zip from sdcard"
5. Select "choose zip from sdcard"
6. choose the hydra_uv_n_v02_signed.zip file
7. DONE, you'll not only get wireless n but you will also be overclocked

PS thanks for linking my video :)

Thanks for posting this.

I'll admit, I am a NEWB, but just to confirm #3 means to power off and then on holding down volume and power, wait for card to fail out, then recovery...correct? Don't I need to change the file name to update.zip?

And what is the benefit to overclocking? If this is overclocking by increasing the volts isn't that bad for the CPU?
