Question for you, did your phone come with 2.2, or did it come with 2.2.1?I meant using the custom kernal that comes with asdullahs romzero. That's only for 2,2. Can I flash a 2,2,1 Tom and than flash the 2.2 custom. I know I can use the stock kernal that is why I was curious too know of I have to be stuck waiting for the 2,2,1 kernal to become more. Stable
Far as I know that is not accurate, you can always upgrade but you are not able to downgrade.we really should come up with a better identifier for the phone besides the 2.2 and the 2.2.1 phones...
techincally the kernel is 2.6.32.9 for lg ms690 2.2/2.2.1, and the stock roms are android 2.2/2.2.1.
If you flash CM7, your kernel is 2.6.32.9 for "ms690 with 2.2.1" and the rom is now 2.3.3
If your phone did not come with 2.2.1, then you would need to use the kernel 2.6.32.9 for "ms690 with 2.2"

Wait,if u have a stock 2.2 phone running a 2.2.1 rom, you CAN use the 2.2 kernel.basically if your phone came with 2.2 then ONLY use the 2.2 kernel. But you CAN flash 2.2.1 roms.
