Help Can you wake up with volume toggle?

My friend has this phone, can you wake up the phone with the volume toggle or any other way than the power button?

Did this work ? If so... what phone?

I ask because the thread is in the HTC EVO 4G forum, but the original poster profile says he has a Thunderbolt. I'm looking for a way to fix this on a Thunderbolt.

(so apologies if cross post reply in wrong forum, but was just going based on OP's profile)
 
I was looking for a temporary fix for my wife's phone HTC EVO 4G and the power button doesn't wake the phone. I'm looking for an app to allow the volume button to wake the phone. Any Suggestions I tried no Lock but not working.
