Well Hello Guys,

You all are gladly welcome to this thread. Guys, the time has now come to give Micromax A75 the look and feel of Ice Cream Sandwich. Yes, we must accept a full CM7 Port is not possible in this phone, but I do think we can atleast fake the ICS appearance on it. So guys, on this thread we are on a mission to make the first ICS like ROM for our cellphone.

What's you Role in this??

Well guys, making a ROM and that too with latest technology is not at all a ONE person job. So what you guys have to do is, search the internet and post every GUIDE, TUTORIAL, RESOURCE, APPLICATIONS you find as links. We need each and everything which can help our development. I would use YOUR links and recources to compile together a ICS. You guys now know, what are you looking for and also know for which chipset/cellphone you are looking for. Just go and start finding things.

As soon as I see a new and helpful post by anyone, I would add his name here on the thread as a developer. Start working for this place. It's not just my ROM, It's YOUR ROM now.... :)

Guys, 5 hours since I posted this thread and no replies yet in spite of 170 views. It simply seems like none of you are interested, or either are too busy to read the whole thread. :P :(

I am waiting, I won't do anything unless I get response. :-|

Found a russian forum. Link is strictly for Mtk 6573 devices. Update for upto 2.3.9 and Ics-rom developments are currently on by the chinese guys. All the phones are like A75 except the wvga/hvga. But I think its helpful.

Okay well Aayush I already Pushed all ICS icons But i am using Gionee ROM as base Coz gionee Is Speed comparing Sh!t micromax.

And Am not Getting Rooted :@ Senior Dev's help me.. Ninad can u help me for that :rolleyes:

if all works Dev in it we can get ICS Themed. Cream Bread:p ask varun To theme Gionee framework :D

The forum seems to be in a dormant phase now. I wonder why everone is online, but no progress report anywhere.

Hi Aayush..

I found some ICS SystemUI Icons for status bar Notifications... :p

Have a look on it..! :cool:

I have already renamed all the icons with respective names just need to replaced with the existing compile it again.. ;)

I have also included ex-dialer_Contacts.apk as it works for dual sim phone by applying ics theme to it we can enhance the look..! :rolleyes:

Good to see you back Aayush hope this time we will have some thing much more excitint then the previous ones. Hey Aayush just for suggesstions please include these things in your ROM from here onwards Host file to block ADs and the feature missing in most of the Android phones Flash player with its plugin and support. And haan please include all the Social Networking Apps preincluded in your ROM like Facebook, Gtalk with Voice and Video, and etc etc...

If anything else needed will let you know...
 
lol....no need to include all the social networking apps in your rom directly. Just make a seperate flashable zip for the guys who nees them. :)


Btw pkotrnetwork is doing a great job at providing all the files that might be needed in this "port" of ICS for A75. Keep it up bro :D
 
Dear Aayush,

I have taken the base framework-res.apk & systemUI.apk from ADProgrammerV1.zip and made some customization in the apks using UOT-Kitchen..:D

Just take a look on this zip file..

But u have to replace GN-Toolbar icons ( given by me previously ) with the default icons so that we'll get some good appearance for Toolbar ICONS.. :p

Well Guys, I've looked through all the links you've given here for ROM's, but couldn't find a one which I could use as a Base ROM. So well, suggest which one would you like as the base...

1) Stock ROM
2) ADProgrammer Version 1 LTS ROM
3) If Any Other, Please Name it With Download Link

Reply at Earliest, Want to start development and mods right today.

stock Rom is good. Since our plan is to theme the Rom heavily with everything of ICS including contacts animation, settings, notifications, lockscreen, dock....etc etc. UB1 Rom seems to be the most stable out of the lot. So it, as the base would be a better choice. :D
