Help Cannot assign Static IP to my SGS2? Please help.

I was able before to assign static IP to my SGS2. BUT I reset my device recently. Now I am unable to assign static IP to my device. If I assign static IP, both the actual IP from router and the static IP appear and I can browse the net via the actual IP in spite of ticking the static IP. I am in need of that. I shall be much thankful for help.

There's the problem; your router still has the previous dynamic IP assignment stored. Rebooting the router will clear its routing table and should solve the problem, but it's best to go into the router config menu and double-check that the static IP is outwith the range of addresses dynamically assigned by the router to avoid potential conflicts.

My problem solved. I installed wifi static from market and now my static IP is working. Thanks slug for your help.
