Root Cannot get into recovery or android. :-/

I have the premium version which allows it to make automatic scheduled backups of the currently installed ROM as well as Install a gingerbread ROM (free version is only capable of installing a Froyo ROM). I have a sticky that explains everything.
Might need to update to include a fix for those that install the recovery from ROM Manager (really borks things good).

Tested installing my ROM with the free version and it worked, using my recovery, but that was also the version that is downloaded from the CyanogenMod source build, which may have some differences then one on the Play Store.

I'm going to test and see what command Rom Manager writes to the string cache command file, and rewrite the command string so it works better.

The free version doesn't allow enough wiping and formatting for me to be comfortable about it.
The free version doesn't allow multiple install's so most Gingerbread ROMs that require the Gapps would not work. Yours has everything included so it's not a problem with ROM Manger (it is with the Google license agreement though).

The wipe option in the free version is a problem, and the phone I tested in on did not have any download apps so the install was clean. What I do know is that because of the way the sd-ext partition is used if there were download apps installed then there would have been FC's and UID warnings all over the place.

Really just test with Rom Manager to make sure that I have not wiped that part of the recovery out.

I can do multiple installs with the paid version. I usually would pick to install obijohn's wiper zip and then the ROM and then the gapps. I then select to wipe the two options it gives.
obijohn's wiper zip makes it possible to get a complete wipe before install.

But again, the free version ain't worth squat, for installing anything requiring the Gapps or wiping thoroughly enough for any ROM install.

The recovery you supplied, would it be alright to flash or will i need to prep myself to wipe my sd card again before doing so?

BobZhome Jelly Bean has been working well for me. It has a couple of quirks I have noticed data will go away every once in a while (going into airplane mode and back fixes that) and the camera is a little buggy looking. but the pictures come out alright. Other than that Its been good to me so far.

Anything in particular you think I should backup in case these things happen again?

How did you get the PlayStore to show up. Every time I've tried to flash his Jellybean and Gapps the Play store doesn't show. I have a lot of apps and really don't want to side load each one with ADB.
just follow the instructions I included on how to flash the zipped recovery. No need to backup or wipe/format anything.

If you want, backup the ROM in the VM670NH recovery. Then copy all the contents of the SD card onto a folder on your computer. The backup will be in /sdcard/clockworkmod/backup.

I have had no problem with his Gapps, it installs everything like it should.
Could you not try a different gapps? Or does it not work that way?

The reagular Jellybean Gapps are toooooo large. I think my old phone is just being picky. I've put it thru quite alot in almost two years.
