Root Cannot SEND texts

But I can RECEIVE them...?

Handcent is the app I use...

I have noticed that the MESSAGE icon (green smiley face thing) is now missing from my phone...?? Not a clue...

Any help...please! :confused:

what rom are you on? was the message icon there before, but has now disappeared? have you treid a good ole fashion wiping of the dalvik cache and cache?

maybe try a different messaging app. i used go sms and i really like.

I'm on the Team DIRT CM9.1 ICS ROM...

Yes the icon used to be there but has disappeared...?

I just did a wipe and it doesn't seem to have any affect...sooo

I'm gonna try GoSMS as you guys are suggesting! Don't I make a good student?! :D

weird that it disappeared like that. if that is the case then you can also try and wipe dalvik cache and cache and then re-flash the rom.

Well, after flashing a new ROM, I still am fighting the absence of vm and not being able to RECEIVE texts. I called Sprint yesterday regarding the texting issue and was told there is an 'issue' in my area that they were aware of and that they were working on... :confused:

I never thought to ask about the vm problem tho! I've been thinking that vm is simply an issue on my end in that I'm not understanding how to go about getting it to interface after a fresh ROM flash. What I did so far is, I went to Google Play and dl'd a voicemail app that doesn't really seem to work. It could be in conflict with another app, IDK...I need to spend some time looking into it but just feel 'lost':confused:.
 
Google voice was the culprit!!....

Needed to get into GV settings and do a couple tweaks and voila, it's working!

It must have become active again thru restoring some apps or whatever! Not sure actually how it happened but I'm glad to have it sorted out :D..

EDIT: Now, on to working with getting a voicemail app that I can work with : )
