Help Cannot unlock screenlock

I recently entered a password for my screenlock. Immediately after this, the phone would not recognize the password I entered, and I cannot access my phone. Is there any way to reset this?
 
Factory reset?

Power down, press vol down and the power button hold them both until you see the hboot screen.use the vol button to move the highlight to factory reset and press the power button to activate it.
 
Have you tried entering similar codes, in case you made a typo? For example, try 2678 instead of 3678.

Other than that, if you don't have the code... that sucks. Someone on the desire Z boards was talking about a bug where the screen lock would be skipped if he opened the device, but none of us could recreate it. Maybe you could, it's worth a shot.

I guess do a factory reset and restore from your backup. You keep backups, right? ;)
