Can't access google play after root

My phone is Galaxy S2 SGH T989 version 2.3.6
Today I have successfully rooted my phone yay.
I then started a rampage on deleting system apps, all of which is marked safe to delete according to online sources. I also deleted visual voicemail and I read it from somewhere that this might be the cause?

I tried everything from clearing the caches, factory data reset, fix permissions..etc. I had Kies back up my phone before I root but it seems like Kies won't be able to recover my backup.

Anything else I can do?
 
Moved into the galaxy s2 root forum.

Did you make a backup of the system apps before deleting them? Not pre root. With an app like titanium backup?
