Root Can't backup stock ROM

I rooted my phone a month ago or so using the video posted on this site. As I wait for an updated ROM that incorporates the "updates," I would like to backup my old ROM.

I believe the root method I used left my S-on. Anyways I have tried clockwork and could not find any way to backup my ROM (even after selecting recover from the menu). I then tried installing TWRP through GooManager and there was no difference.

Are my problems related to the S-on/off issue? All I want to do at this point is backup my existing ROM.

It really wasn't hard using the method from this forum to get s-off. I've been rocking S-off ever since the first hour the phone was placed in my hands.

you know what they say once you root you can never go back to stock :p

(yes you can take the phone back to stock from being rooted the above crack at humor has no affect on this- however I really have no desire to own an unrooted phone again)

In twrp you don't have a button that says 'backup' on it?

It's a pretty straight-forward process. You just hit backup, then select what you want backed up and hit the slider.

You are actually booting into recovery right?
