Help Can't boot into phone.

Hey guys, I am trying to get my phone back to factory settings and ROM from AOKP. I had a backup from before installing AOKP a number of months ago, but when I tried to restore it previously it gave me an MD5 error. I figured I would just deal with the issues I was having with AOKP. I downloaded the stock ROM form Sammobile and tried installing it via CWM recovery but it told me the file was bad, so I downloaded it elsewhere and it installed fine. I can no longer boot into the actual phone area with a desktop and what-have-you. I tried to restore my AOKP and very original restore points but now I am getting MD5 errors on all of them. I can still get into Download mode and recovery mode, but can't explore files on my phone through my PC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

In cwm, try turning off the md5 check, i think its in advanced backup and restore settings
Ive had backups where it tells me the md5 is bad but when i turned it off they restored fine

I don't see that option anywhere. In the initial screen I have:

Reboot System Now
Install Zip from sdcard
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
backup and restore
mounts and storage
advanced

In Backup and Restore I have:

Backup
Restore
Advanced Restore
Backup to internal sdcard
restore from internal sdcard
advanced restore from internal sdcard

In Advanced Restore I have 3 backups. I pick the one I want and have:

Restore Boot
Restore System
Restore Data
Restore Cache
Restore sd-ext

All the way back at the initial screen under Advanced I have:

Reboot Recovery
Wipe Dalvik Cache
Wipe Battery Stats
Report Error
Key Test
Show Log
Partition SC Card
Fix Permissions

Any ideas?

I use Philz recovery which is based on cwm so im not sure that the option is there but look in advanced restore
EDIT sorry i see you dont have the option on cwm sorry mate

Just had a look and in Philz its Backup And Restore, Misc Nandroid Settings, Md5 Checksum.
Does cwm not have that?

Yeah or you can download it to the phone and flash it in cwm. I dont use hangouts mate sorry

I found what I assume is the most up to date version of Philz and downloaded a .zip and a .md5 but Odin 3.09 won't find the .zip and when I try to load the .md5 it says:

<ID:0/005> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> MD5 hash value is invalid
<OSM> philz_touch_6.48.4-d2lte.zip.md5 is invalid.
<OSM> End...

Sigh...

I downloaded another version of Philz, one that ended with .tar.md5 and flashed that. At first it seemed like it was going to loop and not boot into recovery but it finally did. I disabled the MD5 check and am currently restoring my stock save. Lets cross our fingers.

While it was restoring it was saying that it couldn't mount the /data whatever. I think it finished though? It didn't really say one way or the other. It's sticking at the Samsung pulsating screen just before booting to the desktop(?).

When I hit the wipe command it says:

Formatting /data
Error mounting /data
skipping format
formatting /cache
formatting /sd-ext
e: unknown volume for path [sd-ext]
formatting /sdcard/.android_secure
error mounting /sdcard/.andriod_secure
skipping format
formatting /storage/sdcard1/.android_secure
data wipe complete
wiping system
formatting /system
now flash a new ROM!

How can I throw some files onto this thing now, seeing as how my computer wont recognize it as storage media since it won't goto the desktop.

Good thing it's my birthday. I had my mom come across town with her tablet and phone so I could throw the files on my SD card. lol

Well this is fun as hell. I flashed the newest AOKP ROM since it wasn't seeing the stock ROM because it was in .tar.md5 format, and it didn't work. So, I try throwing the .zip of the stock ROM on and lo and behold, I get an error message saying:

Cannot copy item. The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected.

It ONLY happens with this file. What the ever loving f*ck?
