Help Can't connect to computer?

Okay so now whenever I try and connect my Evo to my computer I no longer get a notification on the top of the phone giving me options (Charge, Tether, Disk Drive, etc.). Debugging is not on and I have uninstalled WinAmp and PdaNet which I thought were potential causes of the problem. I also have the phone set to mount as a drive when connected via USB and I also checked the box telling it to ask me any time is gets connected.

Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated!

You didn't really say what your problem was, but if you're trying to change the USB connection type, connect your phone to your PC, then turn your phone on and view the alerts by dragging down the status bar at the top of the screen. You should then see an option to change the connection type.

that is the problem...it doesn't show that option


have you downloaded or changed any syncing apps (like music apps etc)

They have a bad habit of overriding the system settings

also check you cable...it may have gone bad
