Root can't download apps from Play store while 4G is on

I had to get a new phone recently. I rooted the new one and now I am unable to download apps while my 4 g antenna is on. Can anyone help me remedy this situation? is it because I am rooted?Wrong radio? Wrong wimax?

Are you able to connect to the internet via Wimax?
What rom/kernel are you using?
 
Do you get a message "Waiting on network"? This is a known issue at Google Play.
ht[#6789539] "Waiting on network" error over 4G We're aware that some users (in particular Sprint users) are receiving a "Waiting on network" error when downloading from Google Play over the 4G network.
This issue is a problem with the configuration of your carrier network, but we're currently working with carriers to get it resolved, so thanks in advance for your patience.
In the meantime, as a temporary workaround, please:

  • Use 3G instead of 4G to download from Google Play or
  • Use WiFi instead of a network connection

Yeah...I just found that same post last night...Bummer.Thanks for your help though.I kind of figured that it was not the rom/kernel because I've tried about 4 or 5 different roms and kernels with the same result since i got my new phone on July 16th.Would this have anything to do with the new bootloader 2.18? Because i did not have this problem with 2.15 just a few days before the 16th.

No it's nothing to do wihe your hboot.
Pocketables – Latest Google Play Store breaks updates over 4G WiMAX on older HTC EVO devices

As the post says its to do with the latest play store version having issues with the wimax configuration. Nothing with your phone internals

Yeah I think its been at least a week since it happened...whenever the latest Play Store was pushed. Not just just Sprint. Here in Japan on the au network, WiMAX downloads don't work either. So its not the carrier but the WiMAX providers who need to apply the fix. Luckily if you got tweaks (I got papa smurf's SMurfed Out Script tweaks), 3G is good enough for downloads:smokingsomb:

This has been a known issue for 2 months now or whenever the newer market version 3.7.13 was pushed out to all phones. Wonder if a fix will come:p
 
Im such an idiot!!! I have been trying to resolve this for 3 days and never looked here....LOL I have been flashing roms and restoring stock roms and was beginning to think I was actualy having my first hardware failure. Lesson learned.
