Help Can't download tethering apps

I've been reading some posts here and see that AT&T locks down tethering downloading. I tried using my wifi, that didn't work. Tried using AppBrain as a marketto download pdanet or easytether and I get a message saying, "The requested item could not be found"

What's my next step? Thanks.

I would say rooting. That was the only way i was able to get my phone to work with sprint without paying extra service. Plus i used to have ATT and i had to have my iphone ( i know eww) jailbroken in order for it to work. Try rooting if your not familier with it check around the forums for tutorials.

if you have att, dont bother. they are sending out notices to "freeloaders" on their network who are paying for a data plan without tethering and using a rooted phone to tether.
