Root Can't Enable Voodoo Lagfix in CWR

So today I decided to experiment with Kaos' Froyo rom and was having problems with the browser so I decided to go back to dl09 so I went into CWR and disabled lagfix but then after it wouldn't even let me wipe data/cache so eventually I just went back to stock dl09 in Odin. I rerooted and flashed another voodoo kernel but I noticed when I rebooted I didn't hear the woman's voice this time. I also noticed when I went into the voodoo screen and tried to enable lagfix and system lagfix it would only say current disabled and on reboot enabled. What am I overlooking?

On your sdcard there is a folder called voodoo. Inside it is disable-lagfix file, delete it and you're golden. BTW, this should be done each and every time you return to voodoo from a previous disable.

This kinda happened/is happening to me now. I flash voodoo after doing research and everything worked just fine. So i wanted to see if i could get back to where i was. so i booted into redCWM as i read and disabled lagfix from the voodoo settings/option in recovery.

after reboot, i went to rom manager to flash the stupidfast kernal i had been using. no problems there (verified in setcpu). Went back into rom manager and flashed the super clean rom and checked data/cache wipe, however upon rebooting, all my apps and stuff were still there.

any ideas? should i be deleting something? =D

*edit*
ok i manually went into recovery and it's still red cwm. i think that may be working against me without voodoo on =D now to figure out how to get it off ><

**edit**
fixed it i think. wised up and remembered the 'remove voodoo' sticky on xda. flashed the given kernal and now im back in action =D

That did the trick! Thanks again saps.

I disabled lagfix by accident once and had to go back in a re-enable it. Should I go and delete that file too?

EDIT: I actually don't see a file with that name so I am assuming that I am good.

If you wanna be on voodoo yes, if you wanna be off there's no harm keeping it or deleting it.

Would the file be in the voodoo folder itself or another folder within the voodoo folder? If I go in to red cwr and it shows that lagfix is enabled that should mean everything is good, right?

Yes it will be in the voodoo folder and not subfolder within. Yes also if you flash on voodoo and never disable you obviously wont have the disable lagfix file. It gets created by red cwr when you disable. If red cwr shows enabled you're likely good to go. Sadly the only way of triple checking is to run quad and see if you get the inflated IO numbers that come with the ext4 filesystem. Well, that or an app called Benchmark which also has a filesystem test

Heres a screencap. Am I good?
