Help Can't even do a factory reset .... ugh

Tried doing a factory reset. Get a notification saying NO RESET WAS PERFORMED BECAUSE THE SYSTEM CLEAR SERVICE IS NOT AVAILABLE

Try going into menu > settings > applications > manage applications, in there select Google Apps and clear data and cache, also "force stop."

Reboot.
 
Yes that is why, because market isn't working. I tried clearing data, cache & force stopping, no luck. Did all the battery pull stuff. Was on phone with Att & Samsung for quite some time.

It might be time to have the device exchanged, f8lpony.

I think that is what I'd do, especially if the data and cache clearing did not help at all (hoping you rebooted immediately after doing that).

One last thing I would try before taking it in would be to go ahead and do the data, cache and defaults clearing on everything Google related in there as well as Market, even gmail (you'll have to reconfigure, of course), then reboot and try a factory data reset.
