Root cant flash boot image

Hi guys just got a replacement EVO and like a dummy I downloaded the ota update. I unlocked the boot loader (2.18.) and flashed amon ra recovery. I'm trying to install the new sensless midnight Rom but when I try to flash the boot img in the cmd prompt it fails to write. It says "sending boot...OKAY" then "writing boot... FAILED (remote:image update error)." Wth does that mean anyone know how to fix this?

Are you leaving the rom zipped up?

Yes its zipped and when I flashed it I got the welcome to midnight Rom screen with the list of features.

Anyhoo, did you flash the rom via recovery?
I guess I'm a little confused as to why you are in a command prompt trying to flash a boot.img...

Edit: do you know if that rom is for the Evo 4g?

Edit again: Do you have the Evo v 4g?

Wow now I really feel like a ******! I saw that Rom in the EVO section and didn't even notice the V next to evo. That looked like a great Rom too... Guess its back to mikg! Anyway thanks for the help and fast replies!
 
and i would like to add that you have to be very careful flashing other roms that was meant for other phones. this is a good way to brick your phone. i have seen it happen here on occasion. luckily this did not happen to your phone. also please read the op thoroughly for any rom that you flash.
