Root Cant get into recovery

I just flashed the rooted gingerbread rom (De-Odexed) and now i cant get my phone to go into recovery mode. I mean I can get into recovery if I use quick boot or clockwork but I cant manually, turning off the phone and then holding the power and vol. down button. Anyone else have this problem and if so any fixes?

you have to go to setting/apps/uncheck fast boot.
