Help Can't get MMS to work

I have the exact same problem.
Works fine with my TH number - sets up automatically when I insert the sim.

Have tried all the settings suggested and still no joy. It is an unbranded, unlocked phone: Model A8181.

Not so concerned about the MMS, more the inability to use WAP. :(

Hi Pete, not sure if u are still having this issue or not but I had the same problem using a Telstra branded HTC desire, my sim is Optus. I used the HTC dream settings and it works. Although I tried to send an MMS tonight and got the generic network failure message again. However in saying this, it had worked fine previously but I'm now starting to think my current issue is either I need a replacement sim as mine was also used in my Windows phone before I bought the desire, or I have had several force closes with the messages as well as an issue with sending the wrong sms to someone coz a different conversation was loaded rather than the one I selected. Anyway good luck!

Hi, i am from Australia and on the optus network as well. i have had the samsung galaxy 1 for about 9 months now and dont have a problem with it. I have recently been unable to look at mms message people send me. Usually if i didnt have my internet on i would have to simply turn it on and download it, and it would be done in a matter of minutes. Now i am waiting 15-20 minutes for it to start downloading but it will get out of it, and will not load and its really frustrating.

Is anyone else having the same or similar issues? and better yet do you know how to fix it?

P.S i have looked all over the internet and a lot of others have having the same problem on the optus network and have been unable to find answers as well.

I have the HTC Desire Z, I'm on Optus and in Australia.
When ever I try to send a picture message it says that it is sending, only it's like this indefinitely and never actually sends.
When someone tries to send on to me it comes with the download button, but when I click that it says that it is downloading without actually downloading it.

Please help it is really starting to annoy me.

-Jackson.

Hi, I'm in Australia on the Optus network (I'm not sure that matters, but I'll mention it anyway) and I just can't seem to get MMS to work.

I've trawled the web, found heaps of posts for the settings, tried them all, any time I try to send or receive an MMS, I get a "general network failure". All other things work perfectly.

Am I alone in this or has anyone else had the same problems, and more importantly, know how to fix them?

Cheers,
Pete
I've been on the phone for hours about this. I'm having exactly the same problem. Cannot find a solution.

I am having this issue too.

HTC Desire Running Redux2ZM with standard 'Messaging' app. Was not a problem prior to rooting...

Any advice?
