Root Can't get to bootloader

Tibbs71

Rooted my Tbolt a while back and have not had trouble installing different ROMs... until I installed "HTC Thunderbolt 1.01.1520.0 MR4 Leak
with Gingerbread v2.3.6 and Sense 3.0". Everything went well and the phone seems to work fine except I cannot get back into bootloader by pressing power button + vol down (while the phone is off). Just powers up like normal. Any thoughts?

Are you holding vol down first, then holding power?

Even if there was an issue with losing root or something, which there shouldn't be considered what's available to flash right now, it would still take you to the factory recovery screen.

make sure there "fastboot" is checked off. it may be in applications,or it may be in "power". having this setting checked will prevent you from getting to hboot via power/vol down. you can still get to it via "adb reboot bootloader" in a command window,or via an app like quickboot.

this is interesting... this is thew first ive seen of such a thing, but a quick search resulted in a full RUU titled "open_mobile_us",not "verizon_wwe"

wonder if the TB is going to be used on some other, possibily global networks?

as soon as i can get it downloaded ima flash the RUU and check it out :D

Thanks for the replies!

Fastboot was checked but I found a fix in an DroidX forum that worked. Pulled the battery, held down the buttons and put the battery back in. Worked like a charm.

Used adb when I rooted the phone but Windows (Parallels) runs slow on my Mac so I stay away if I can :)
